I2C a high-impact form of design thinking that accelerates innovation

Innovate2Create (I2C) developed by Ingenium was central to the launch of ‘Engineering Together‘ in the marquee at Ormesby Hall, Middlesbrough, UK, 20 June ’19, lead by Eric Sandelands. Engineering Together gathers the major institutions and professions to provide one voice for engineering in Tees Valley and a potential road map for other UK regions.

Ingenium’s CEO James Ring explains: “Where there is an opportunity for our tools and programs to kick-start positive change, we are happy to help. Engineering affects all of our lives and bringing together these organisations to have an impact on the future that is greater than the sum of the parts is something where we feel we add value.”

I2C was evolved by Ingenium as a high-impact form of design thinking that accelerates innovation to create better solutions to the challenges facing business and society.

Ingenium’s Director of Business Development, Brendan Gordon is a design thinking specialist and instrumental in the creation of I2C.

Brendan observed: “It is gratifying to see the I2C process applied to this major project. Both in the quick wins and long-term initiatives attracting young people and those from diverse backgrounds into engineering is a key theme. This has to be good for the future of engineering.”
